The big day.  Moving day.  Time to pack everything up and hie thee to a new abode.  Except in my case there wasn't supposed to be a moving day.  A week to the day after I had signed a new lease I got word that I had to move out. All the apartments in my neighborhood had to rip out their back walls and move them in five feet so that the city could put in a new water pipe.  Six months of contruction at least.  Dust, workmen moving in and out of my home at will, and constant noise.  Sadly I'm not an uber-rich individual who is living off his investments, but a poor working schlub who has to get out and make money to live.  I had to find a place and move there in short order.  That was all about six weeks ago.  Just now recovered from all the efforts involved, at least physically.  Will likely take a while before I recover emotionally from the abruptness of it all.
